2 From anywhere… to anyone Page 2 The electronic version is the only valid copy of this document. Current Standard Naming Convention The current convention will not change for standard schedules. This current convention includes work schedule rules (WSR) in which the employee follows the same start/end time over a 7 day period with 2 RDOs. Example:WSR text reads: 08:00-16:00 SAT SUN The text string in the example indicates that in SAP, the work hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 with Saturday and Sunday as RDOs. If the text reads “08:00-16:00 FRI-SAT”, then Friday and Saturday are RDOs.

Naming Convention For Non-Standard Schedules To identify non-standard schedules, we start the WSR text string with an abbreviation: “VAR” for Variable, followed by the total weekly hours. The subsequent letters and numbers will identify the days and hours in which the employee is scheduled to work. The sequence will always start with Sunday and end Saturday. In addition, only the days worked are itemized. E.g. 1.Employee works Sunday 8hrs, Thursday 4hrs and Saturday 4hrs. Consequently, the naming convention will result in S8H4S4. E.g. 2.Employee works Monday 4hrs, Wednesday 4hrs, Friday 8hrs and Saturday 8hrs. Consequently, the naming convention will result in M4W4F8S8. The table below indicates the code per day of the week.
