These 13000 t dwt tankers are intended for transportation of oil and petroleum products with a specific weight up to 0.99 t/m and a flash point lower than 60 º C. They can simultaneously carry two types of cargo; cargo heating is provided for viscous cargoes. In 2009 the UK Royal Institution of Naval Architects included Zengezur, the sixth tanker of the series, in the List of significant ships of 2008.
