2 END OF SCHOOL YEAR ACTIVITIES PRESENTED BY: ASALA SAID AHMAD / ABO YAMAN

3 The teacher brings roses and gives out to students. Each student stands up and tells the class who would he give the rose to and why. (It can be for himself or even to someone who is not in the room…) Activity number 1:

4 I give my rose to a person who is missing now, who left us early, a person that I, and not only I, shall miss always…. I give it to a dear father, friend and inspector who taught me and every English teacher that I know, to be who we are, devoted, successful and special… To the most special of all Mr. Yousef Daghash, may his soul rest in peace…

5 Step 1: On a piece of paper each student anonymously writes few hints about himself, such as things he likes or favorite color or food. Step 2: The teacher collects the papers, folds them and puts them in a basket, then he gives them out again but this time randomly or lets the students choose. Step 3: Each student reads the paper he got out loud and tries to guess who the person is.

7 Activity number 3: A MEMORY COMPETITION Have students try to remember as many words they learned through out the year as they can in a limited time. For example, give them 5 minutes to remember as many words as they can and write them down

9 Activity Number 5 Cup Activity Students will be given papers in cup shape to cut and color. Each student has to write a name of a person, a class mate or someone from outside of the school on the cup and give a reason about why he would like to give him this cup.

11 Activity number 6 Together with your students, decide on which shirt you want to use for this activity: school shirt or a simple white shirt. Pupils will ask each other to write down a word or a sentence expressing what ever they feel like saying to each other. 12 Activity number 7 Helium Balloons Students will be given out colorful balloons with special pens. They are asked to write their wishes for next year. In the school yard, they release the balloons together

13 Activity number 8: Exchanging Wishes On white cards, each student writes his wish for the student sitting next to him. They decorate the cards and exchange them. 14 Activity number 9 Feel & Draw Students are asked to draw two pictures expressing how they felt in the first English lesson compared to the end of the year.

15 Activity number 10 How Do You Feel Today Circle the facial expression that expresses how you feel today since we are few steps away from the end of the school year. You can choose more than one
