Graphic Design Is All About Providing Information In A Visual Way. This Can Be Through Drawing, Print, Photographs, Computer, Images Or A Mix Of Everything. Graphic Designers Do Lots Of Different Things, for Example: Books, Magazines &*+ Newspapers – Graphic Designers Need To Consider The Image Of The Publication And Who Is It Aimed At. Starting Pay Can Be From £12-18,000 While At The Top End, Senior Designers May Earn Up To £60-000+ Per Year! Graphic Designers May Specialise In A Particular Design Field. Junior Designers Can Progress To Team Leader And Management-Level Positions. Later On Might Eventually Have The Level Of A Creative Director.

For My Presentation I Used The Internet To Look For Some interviews With A Graphic Designer And I Found This: What do you most enjoy about being a graphic designer? ‘’I like the problem solving aspect of design. My philosophy has always been to first make things smart and then make them pretty. That's my work mantra, regardless of whether it's an illustration or the things I'm doing now, such as photo albums, decorative pieces or stationery. Whatever limitations there are on the size, the colour, the price point, I still enjoy trying to make it look really nice within those constraints. ‘’

What skills are most important for a designer? It's important to have a visual sensibility, to understand what works and what doesn't work visually. You need a type sensibility—what types look good and how to space out the letters right. I'm not sure if they teach that anymore. We used to have to set type by hand, in school. My kids don't even get handwriting lessons in school, which I think is really sad. Regardless of whether they're going to be typing their correspondence or not, there's a sensibility of being able to make pretty letter forms by hand. It makes for visual sensitivity.

What To Bring A Clipboard, Pen, And Paper &*+ Your Portfolio When Your In An Interview You Might Want To Bring A Clipboard, Pen &*+ Paper In Case The Employer Tells You Lots Of Important And Useful Information. It Can Be Anything, Hours, Dates, What They Would Expect, Wages Etc. This Can Be Useful If You Ask A Question And Get An Answer To It And Then Forget It And Ask The Same Question Later On In The Interview. You Might Have Some Quite Important Questions To Ask The Employer And Then You Can Write Them Down On A Piece Of Paper So You Remember Them. It’s Always Good To Bring Your Portfolio To Show To The Employer And To Show Him What You Have Done.

Presentation Dress For It If You Want To Get A Job You Cant Turn Up To An Interview Dressed Up Sloppy The Employer Wont Have The Best Ideas About You And Might Not Employ You. You Always Need To Give Good first Impression To Make Someone Have A Good Idea About You. Some People Get Employed With Pierced Body Parts, Pink Hair, Tattoos Etc, And Still Get Employed, But That's Not A Good Idea. Body Language How You Look Is Not Everything, You Also Need To Use A Good Body Language. For Example When You are Trying To Explain Something To The Employer Don't Look Around The Room. Try Keeping In Eye contact With The Person You Talking To, It Really Does Make A Better Impression.
