1 Install FTP for Curriculum Development Professional Development Training

2 Why? In order to better utilize the PCILMS and to support more direct updates to course material we must use a protocol called FTP to organize and update course files. This software will be installed on Windows and will allow the program chairs and those involved in the curriculum development process to directly upload and fix files for all courses in their department. This software has been approved by IT but will be supported by the Curriculum Chair through Bugzilla. 3 Step 1: Open Internet Explorer

4 Step 2: http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/?source=dlp

5 Step 3: Click green download button

6 Step 4: Click Run when prompted

7 Step 5: Choose YES on security warning

8 Step 6: Choose Next on installer

9 Step 7: Choose Accept The next message that comes up will have an “Accept” button. Click on that button. The next message that comes up will have an “Accept” button. Click on that button.

10 Step 8: On the installer click Next.

11 Step 9: Click desktop icon and choose next

13 Step 11: Choose Install

14 Step 12: Choose Finish

16 Step 14: After check for OK click Finish

18 Next? At this point you need to get an FTP login and password from the Curriculum Chair.
