5. 2015 NCAA Division I Strategic Summit - Recap 54 university presidents, athletics administrators and student-athletes representing all divisions. Charge: Discuss current challenges and develop strategic principles. Organized themselves into four strategic planning groups. Agreed on strategic principles that were then endorsed by the Board of Directors. Engaging the Division I governance structure in operationalizing principles. Board, Presidential Forum, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Council and Committee on Academics.

NCAA Division I Strategic Agenda Principles and Commitments Developed at the Summit. 1.Reassessing student-athlete time demand. 2.Preparing student-athletes for a career and life after sport. 3.Helping student-athletes translate their skills. 4.Appropriate access to information about professional athletics careers.
