5. Stop-Motion Animation Wallace & Gromit  Each character moves 12 times a second to achieve that life- like animation. Animator Merlin Crossingham explained,  “If Gromit is wagging his tail enthusiastically for 30 seconds, that’s 360 movements. That’s why it can take us days to do a four-second shot.” Each second of final film takes around 24-30 separate pictures, so that is 1,800 pictures for 1 minute of film. That adds up to 54,000 pictures for 30 minutes of a movie.
