Level 5- Technology human: Sustaining the entire human population at a high standard of living. Each shift to major paradigm required a change in the economic system to governs the new age. (Define economics- social science studies production, distribution and consumption of goods and services.)

Need for a new economic system Money worked great in the past, expanded human capabilities immensely in last 200 yrs Money will not work for future progression because: Definition Money is an agreed upon medium of exchange for the distribution and consumption of goods and services in an environment of scarcity.- Law of supply/demand (rationing of scarce resources) requirements for money system to work: Scarcity and Growth = not compatible in our time. Also a necessity of ‘cyclical consumption’ or constant turnover. (talk about in a sec) Mechanism of Scarcity: Can’t create an abundance to allow a high standard of living for all people in a mechanism of scarcity. So we can’t shift to the next level.

The money system is beginning to hold our progression back in our shift to the technological age.

42. Why is War inevitable in a monetary system? Really got me… The monetary system is based on scarcity and competition for survival. This ensures constant struggle. This means that a world of abundance, efficiency and sustainability is impossible. In a Monetary system we will always have Wars, Poverty, financial deprivation, and crimes.

43. Distorted value of Competition Scarcity breeds competition. Competition is fighting, or another word is War. Imagine if your body operated on competition.

Money is made scarce by the banks, doesn’t truely represent the vast amount of resources available or true value. Ex: what is the money value of a whale? A human?

47. The Venus Project advocates a Resource based economy What is a Resource based Economy? A Resource-Based Economy is a system in which all goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. Cuts out the middle man (ie: money) and the mechanism of scarcity. Allows us to focus solely on the management of resources rather than the pursuit of profit.

48. Difference RBE and Money A resource based economy really cares for people Philosophy is, the smarter your kids are, the better my life would be. Everyone becomes a contributor with nothing to hold it back. All is in the public domain.

All subcultures such as Communism, Socialism, The Free Market Enterprise system, and Fascism are based on Political ideology and uphold social stratification, and still exist through money labor and competition or some form of ‘Monitaryism’. In a RBE, all forms of ‘Monitaryism’ and Political ideologies are non existent. The functions of Gov’t and Industry are combined in a cybernated system to provide what is relevant for humanity. There is no control what so ever over the human. This represents the intelligent application of science and technology for freeing humanity.

50. Most crimes gone in a Resource based economy. How? Crimes not result of Human Nature but behavior. About 95% of all crimes are directly or indirectly related to economic deprivation. Just by shifting to a resource based economy, most crimes would go and most laws would follow as well.

What would people do Indoctrinated to believe money gives incentive Survival incentive= aberrant behavior With all the struggles of survival taken care of, people would pursue the higher things in life Fight diseases, explore space and oceans, become problem solvers Retired person of today-What would you do? Sane value systems Able to participate in a true democracy

52. A true democracy? Nope, not this… More freedoms The notion of a democracy in a scarce oriented competition free market enterprise system is an insult to our intelligence. Where do we participate? vote War in Iraq, Space program, recent tax cuts, administrations cabinet, highway & power grids, income tax A true democracy is not possible in a monetary based system because the more money you have, the more power and persuasion, which serves those in positions of differential advantage. So it’s really a dictatorship of the elitist.

53. True democracy -Entail knowing how the system operates and being able to participate. -Based on what you have done, not what you say you will do.

True Democracy in RBE Implement idea by interaction with virtual Computer Data Base System (like internet) System would evaluate proposal and its relevance to the wellbeing of humanity and the environment. If sound proposal- sent to interdisciplinary teams for implementation. Based on persons contribution to society- that person would then be invited to be apart of the interdisciplinary team for further implementation.

55. Who makes the decisions? You do-Socially, we arrive at them through the Scientific Method. Central hub brain of the city(Cybernated database system)-Electronic nervous system(like human body)- No use for Politics!

56. Politics cant solve our problems? Our problems in life are technical, not political. Politics are out dated along with the monetary system. Politics are highly subjective and subject to administrative opinions. There is no scientific relevance at all in Politics. Highly influenced by money- serves special interests, not overall good. Politicians are made up of lawyers, business men and military men, there are no social scientist or technicians. Technical ex: Airplane Delaying or masking problems

Creating a society of prosperity We must understand that to create a society of prosperity, all people must have access to the rudimentary things in life such as food, water, clothing, shelter, access to medicines and education. If not, then crimes, poverty, and war is inevitable, because the survival mechanism then kicks in.

58. That’s idealistic! Impractical or Unrealistic? What’s unrealistic is to think we can create a world of abundance for our future, and solve our massive problems in the current economic system of scarcity and competition. If that’s possible, then someone out there offer a better solution that is scientifically sound… To transition to the technological age, we must shift to an economic method that is capable of managing a high abundant, cooperative based society for everyone.
