Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act, 1983 (Act No. 43 of 1983). The Act regulates how invasive alien plants should be dealt with.

22 METHOD USED Mechanical approach: Pulling. This approach was chosen because we worked with children, using other methods like chemicals was not going to achieve our goal and it’s dangerous to children, vegetation and insects that lives in water.

Selling it to school supplier (Nutrition).

31 Recommendations Let us all as educators together with sister Departments educate and encourage our communities to be involved in the environmental projects. The Government should start considering Volunteers and give them Honoraria about the wonderful work they are doing in our communities.

32 Recommendations Let’s all heed the call by KZN Dept. of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs & Rural Development which says; “Think Global and act locally to save our planet”. We recommend that the Government Departments, Municipality take full recognition of Primary Schools and start to invest in them for this country to progress. In Zulu we say “Inkunzi isematholeni”
