23 Perkins “Reserve”  States are allowed to “Reserve” up to 10% of the Perkins basic program allocation for specialized projects  Districts eligible to receive reserve funds must meet the following criteria:  Rural areas;  Areas with high percentages of CTE students; and  Areas with high numbers of CTE students

25 I received notification of a special project utilizing the “Reserve” fund  “Reserve” funds are added to the district’s basic Perkins allocation  Teachers/TOSAs/contractors must communicate with the district CTE director to assure that the district’s special project is allocated appropriately within the iGrants budget tab  This is done by creating a budget revision to the district’s 1000B form in iGrants

26 Timeline  State Funding Cycle  July 1 - June 30 th  All obligations must be fulfilled by the end of the grant period  Federal Funding Cycle  July 1 – August 31 st  Obligations may be charged to grant funds even though goods and equipment are not received during the grant award period Carryover?
