AQA A Level Product Design – Project OverviewName: AS (Unit 2 Coursework) CAD CAMIlluminationHang Ups Overview During this project, you will develop your design, modelling and CAD skills. You will be designing and prototyping a handheld consumer electronic product for a specific client group. You will use 3D CAD software to develop your design and then prototype it using CAM. You will need to produce a concise design folio, containing the following (the number of pages for each task is shown in brackets): 1.Front Cover (1) 2.Brief, Situation and Outline Specification (1) 3.Existing Products Research (1) 4.Client Research (1) 5.Design Ideas - Hand Drawn (2) 6.CAD Modelling (1) 7.CAD Presentation (1) 8.Product Photos (1) 9.Testing and Evaluation (1) You need to produce one high quality CAM prototype of your final design idea. You will design and manufacture a product to provide illumination in an area of your choice. You will design and manufacture a product which fits into the theme of ‘Hang Ups’. AQA A Level Product Design – Project OverviewName: A2 (Unit 4 Coursework) Overview: Unit 4 is your final major project, in which you will need to identify a problem and then design and develop a prototype product to solve it. This is a very demanding project, you will need to produce a substantial design folio and a high quality product. Time management is essential! There will be a number of deadlines throughout the year, requiring each section of the project to be completed and submitted for assessment.
