4 Phases The changes in the appearance of the moon’s shape during a month, such as:

6 We have phases because the Moon revolves around the Earth.

7 Revolution The circling of one object around another object in space. A planet revolves around the sun.  A moon revolves around a planet.

8 Earth revolves around the Sun. Moon revolves around the Earth.

9 Why does the Moon and Sun appear to move in the sky?

10 Rotation - When a planet or moon turns all the way around or spins on its axis one time.
