Planning a June, July, & August Team fundraisers Sending out emails with a link to your participate page OR using the canned email function on your personal fundraising page on www.esrfl.org Posting on Facebook as a fundraiser and about the event Planning a meeting with your team members before the Relay Planning and securing items for your team's onsite fundraiser Picking a tent site if your team has not already Planning to participate in Power of Purple week events Thinking of how your tent will incorporate the theme into your tent site decorations Creating a walking schedule for your team

11 Mission Moment KaLynn Alley Here’s what we have planned for the day of Relay! Scavenger Hunt Tent judging: The following must be incorporated in order to qualify for a prize. –Best Use Relay Theme “Magic of Relay” –Incorporate one of the eight ACS Mission Programs…which are listed on the following slide.

12 Tent Site Challenge 1.Advocacy – concentrating on ACS-CAN membership 2.Breast Cancer Screening Awareness 3.Colon Cancer Screening Awareness 4.Information & Patient Services-Promote 800# & website 5.Nutrition & Physical Activity 6.Research 7.Skin Cancer 8.Tobacco Campsites will be judged from Sat. 10am-12pm and the winner will be announced at closing ceremonies 6:00PM Saturday.

16 T-Shirts Angela McClintic It is the Team Captains responsibility to report who has earned their t-shirt if your team fundraises as a group. Tentative T-Shirt distribution dates: Monday July 9 th & Thursday July 12 th from 4:00 to 6:30 at the ACS Office.

20 Chaperone Agreements The American Cancer Society Relay For Life requires one chaperone older than 25 for every five youth team members. For this event, a youth is considered anyone younger than 18. In addition to completing and turning in this agreement, the youth participant must also complete an event registration form (either online or a scannable form).

23 Curbing Cancer Tiffani Noah Curbing Cancer is a unique fundraiser our event holds each year on Thursday of the Power of Purple week where teams that are interested take to the streets to “panhandle” for 2 hours and raise money and awareness. When: Thursday June 21 st 4 to 6pm Sign up in the back of the room Last year we raised $17,314.12 in just 2 hours!!

24 Silent Auction Darby Tracy The Silent Auction will be on Saturday!!!!! It is an easy onsite fundraising opportunity for Relay teams. Each team gets credit for the total amount of Silent Auction items! Choose a theme Choose a container Collect items

32 CPS 3 Linda Schmitt CPS3 means…Cancer Prevention Study # 3 What is required? –Your information, a small amount of blood, and a commitment to answer questions when mailed to your home. When can I participate? –Willamette High School track, Friday July 27th 5-9pm Who can participate? Anyone 30-65 yrs old, never been diagnosed with cancer and willing to commit to a long term study.
