6 TPPF can move the Projects forward in 3 ways: Feasibility Studies Designs Institutional Strengthening/ Capacity Building Whatever type of assistance is selected, it needs to commence in January 2004 and be completed by December 2004

TPPF consultant to estimate EIRR and scope the design. 0.75 Gradiska - Corridor X Road (Croatia) (Cr-H-08) 50 - Project does have high priority in Croatia, and it is truly a regional project linking core network with pan-European corridor. (A missing link). There are no previous studies and the timing is early. TPPF Consultant to estimate EIRR. 0.05 Skopje Airport (MA-A-01) 20.5 - Feasibility Study and an EIA. 10 TACIS TRACECA is a multi country programme through Central Asia. The programme aims to develop trade (trade facilitation) between countries in the region and abroad The same principle applies to the Region Experience of Other Regional Programmes

11 Brief Overview of Outputs: 1.Borders Harmonisation An interactive data base showing neighbouring country border procedures. This was a large data gathering task but it led to clarity of discussions and training based on factual information. Clarity of existing borders management control (Customs, Border Guards, etc.) by discussion and agreement.

12 Brief Overview of Outputs: 2. Tariff Policy Through the working groups it was possible to agree in principle to accept a normative approach to costing rail freight. This has led to acceptance of a pilot project to evaluate implementation (TTT pilot) In addition, through working groups it was possible to agree a policy for road permit calculations and generate a desire to implement
