Lean Six Sigma 2 Mayor Ballard had a vision to bring in Lean Six Sigma to the Consolidated City of Indianapolis & Marion County as a way to: – Provide new tools to our subject matter experts – Allow our current processes to run more efficiently and effectively – Provide our citizens with best in class services – Empower our employees to effect change within their processes

Process Improvement Sigma components and supporting tools that improve business processes include: – IndyStat: Selected measures that depict key outcomes critical to the City – Lean/Six Sigma: A process improvement methodology used to transform complex processes to deliver customer value faster, improve work flow and eliminate waste – Kaizen Events: Low cost, low tech improvements that include everyone, both managers and workers 3 IndyStat provides an opportunity for our business partners to show how they are performing and areas they may need support
