EuropeAid EIDHR Calls for Proposals to be launched by Headquarters 2011: 21,6 million – priorities include transnational and regional actions with a focus on peaceful management, mediation or resolution of conflicting interests or sources of deepseated conflict or potential violent conflict (5,9 million), reinforcement of the role of transnational civil society organisations and networks (5,8 million), implementation of the Democracy Support Agenda for Action (2,9 million), actions against the death penalty ( 7 million) Currently OPEN (http://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/work/funding/index_en.htm) Strengthening the role of civil society networks in promoting human rights and democratic reform; Lot 2 - Actions supporting the EU Guidelines on the abolition of Death Penalty Human rights defenders and enhancing human rights and fundamental freedoms in countries where they are the most at risk 2012: 27 million – priority will fall on actions against torture and other forms of Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading treatment or Punishment (20 million) and Master's Degree Programmes in Human Rights and Democratisation outside the European Union (7 million)

EuropeAid EIDHR CBSS for Lebanon PRIORITIES Support to strengthen the legal and social protection of vulnerable and marginalized groups by providing social and legal assistance, support to improve the documentation of human rights violations of these groups, the process of accountability of abuses, the development of strategic case law and the promotion of education based on human rights for all. Support to advocate for the abolition of death penalty and all other forms of physical punishment Support to improve the transparency and accountability in the public sector including improving access to information, access to public participation and access to justice.
