7. Woman Injecting Drug User: Second discrimination 18 year old Bang was on drugs when she fell pregnant. Her family is very poor, without even a refrigerator in their house, and from a small village in Ubon. After she gave birth Bang couldn’t breastfeed because of medical reasons. Her only option was to try and find money to buy formula milk for her baby. She is still in this situation (July 2012). We, along with the help of some students on the YWAM Ubon DTS, have provided blankets, towels, shirts and enough formula to last for a month. We also donated some breast milk. However, it is a daily struggle for Bang to take care of her daughter because of her condition. She is in need of much support and understanding.
