l 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. l 2 Peter 1:21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. l John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

What is the Bible? ¹ It is God’s unchanging word therefore we should not add or subtract anything from the Bible.

Why Did God Give Us the Bible? ¹ To teach us the way of salvation (deliverance) by trusting in Jesus. º To guide us in God- pleasing living after we have come to trust Jesus as our Savior.

The Gospel (God’s Promises) l (John 19:30) When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. l (Luke 2:14) "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." l (Romans 1:16) I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. l Done! Tells us what God has done for our salvation l Shows our Savior l Has the power to save all who believe

How does God want us to use the Bible? ¶ Read and study it · To live according to it · Through it he will strengthen (confirm) us in our Christian faith and life
