Regional Conference of Sector Network Health & Social Protection | Africa, MENA and LAC The story so far… Looking back: -Created in March 2012 at the SNHSP meeting in Jo‘burg -About 20 members from programmes and projects in Yemen, Tanzania, DR Congo, South Africa, Kenia, Burkina Faso and from GIZ Head Offices in Germany. -Programms focused on Health system strengthening, Reproductive and Sexual Health, Health financing -Most important highlight: our joint meeting with the Asian Eastern Europe WG in Dubai in December 2013 and the common work on the QM toolbox.

What’s hot at the moment… Hot topics: Launch of the QM Toolbox Link to HCD QM Course Heidelberg; Promote Quality in health Issues (Expert talk) Construction sites: To Link the QM Toolbox to the Product web and to promulgate the Toolbox Current challenges: To get a joint working group with the Asian Eastern European WG ; enhanced utilisation of virtual communication tools Emerging issues: Identify topics/areas of research and (scientific) publications linked to Quality in health; Support of an “Impact” evaluation of SQI in Morocco; Promoting SQI approaches to be used by other partners; Document innovation and good practices implementation

Regional Conference of Sector Network Health & Social Protection | Africa, MENA and LAC What the future will bring… Looking forward: -SQI employed by other social sectors. -Improved networking and communication among working group members through virtual platforms. -Evidence based backing of SQI through conducting of impact assessment of the approach.
