3 What is a Block Print? A block print is a print made from wood, linoleum, or vinyl. Here’s one that the Northern Renaissance artist, Albrecht Durer created.

5 Tools for Block Printing: A brayer is a roller for transferring ink to the plate for printing.

6 Tools for Block Printing: A gouge is a tool for cutting a wood or linoleum block

7 Tools for Block Printing: A barren is a 4 ½ inch circular tool used for pressing paper onto a plate or block for hand printing.
