Plant POWER Comes from the sun

THE FOOD FACTORY Leaves are the energy factories of the plant. Leaves use sunlight, carbon dioxide from air, and water from rainfall or soil to make food energy.

SUNLIGHT ENERGY Energy from the sun helps plants make food energy. Living things need food energy to grow and reproduce. Plants make their own food. The cow and the person need to get their food. Click your mouse or press the space bar.

SUNLIGHT ENERGY The plant’s food energy is transferred to the cow when the cow eats the grass. The cow uses this plant food energy to grow and reproduce. Click your mouse or press the space bar.

SUNLIGHT ENERGY The cow’s food energy is transferred to the person when the man eats a hamburger or a steak. The person uses this cow food energy to grow and reproduce. Click your mouse or press the space bar.

All living things depend on the sun for energy. Plants are able to... From Carbon dioxide in the air and water in the soil using the sun’s energy.

We caught this bee gathering pollen from the flower. Pollen is food for the bee. If the plant is lucky the bee might drop some pollen on another flower… POLLINATION

Take a minute to study this moth. What do you see on the wings? Write this in your science journal.
