11. WP13: REGIONAL ASSESMENT FOR THE WEST-MEDITERRANEAN Analysis of the new data gathered during the development of the 2008 cruises. Maintenance of sampling at the GIFT section. Bilateral Cooperation between Morocco and Spain that was officially established and funded by a joint agreement between the CNRS and CSIC for a two years period (2006- 2007) in order to facilitate the studies in the Strait of Gibraltar has been extended until the end of 2009 due to the renovation of the agreement that has been endorsed by both institutions. Cooperation between members of WP13 and WP9 in order to analyze the data acquired in the Strait of Gibraltar and keep the monitoring in the region, including monitoring the exchange of both natural and anthropogenic carbon through the Strait and the export to adjacent area of the Gulf of Cádiz. Cooperation with the European Program SESAME. Cooperation between the members of WP2, WP12 and WP13 with the aim at providing data of surface water CO 2 available for the Mediterranean to SOCAT (Surface Ocean CO 2 Atlas).
