2.  WWBAT identify the Republic form of government in Rome  The Roman Republic   -The Romans wanted to set up a government that was for the people and by the people.  -Roman people decided to come up with a set of laws that applied to all Roman citizens (all males over the age of 16).  -Wanted to be ruled by elected leaders that were voted into office every year (yearly elections).  -Created a new set of laws called The Twelve Tables. These laws applied to all men, were engraved on metal, and placed in the forum for all to see and read. 
