1 FITOP 8.67 AS AN ECO-FRIENDLY MEANS TO CONTROL GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY IN PLANTS “Research Center” 2014

2 In modern agriculture one of the acute problems is a complex stress caused by adverse environment factors in cultivated plants:  soil and climate;  adverse weather conditions;  biotic factor (phytopathogens, pests, weed vegetation);  anthropogenic factor (intensive agricultural use, environmental pollution). Prophylaxis to prevent stress and diseases requires advanced methods which contribute to arranging conditions for optimal need satisfaction in cultivated plants and enable us to manage the processes of plant growth, development and immunity formation. Fitop 8.67 is a modern biologically multifunctional preparation with a complex effect on cultivated plants, soil and detrimental organisms. The preparation was developed on the base of saprophytic bacteria Bacillus subtilis (Ehrenberg) Cohn, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (Fukumoto) Priest et al. by Scientific and Production Company “Issledovatelsky Tsentr” (“Research Center”) in Koltsovo Science Town, Novosibirsk region, Russia. The composition of the preparation includes three strains: Bacillus subtilis VKPM B-10641 (DSM 24613) and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens VKPM B-10642 (DSM 24614) and В-10643 (DSM 24615) in equal parts. They were isolated from the soil of the Siberian environmentally pristine areas and selected by the developer. Now they are deposited in the Russian Collection of Industrial Microorganisms (VKPM) and the Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH European collection of microorganisms and cell cultures (DSMZ). 3 Intended use of Fitop 8.67 The preparation Fitop 8.67 is applied uppermost at the earlier technological stages and serves as a means to cultivate young plants owing to the direct impact of bacteria on the plant body and environment of this plant. The environmental changes happen owing to antagonistic effect on plant pathogens, stabilizing effect on soil microbial community and enhancement of soil suppressivity. Basic ways of Fitop 8.67 application to treat plants and soil :  presowing seed treatment;  preplanting cutting treatment;  watering of the soil with the Fitop solution after sowing or after emerging seedlings;  steeping of the root system of seedlings in the Fitop solution;  Fitop drip or furrow irrigation of the root system of young plants transplanted in permanent place. In addition, the preparation Fitop 8.67 can be applied as antistress agent to treat the above-ground parts of plants at vegetative stage after herbicidal treatment and as a means of controlling infectious diseases due to the antagonistic effect of the bacteria on phytopathogens. Tests and application of Fitop 8.67: The long-term production tests with Fitop 8.67 and field experiments in grains, potatoes, vegetables, fruits, berries and flowers in the different climatic zones of our country and abroad (Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan) were carried out by scientists and manufacturers. The following effects are observed: - stimulating the root system length and biomass (up to 15-20%); - increasing the total plant biomass (20-25% and higher); - increasing the productivity (20-30%). The preparation increases survival rate in plants under drought conditions and relieves shock states after herbicidal treatments. The active process of immunization in the treated plants with Fitop and posterior decrease in various crops affected by infectious spread through the soil, seeds and droplet way was proved. The results of the experiments conducted in China and Vietnam in 2014 are presented below.
