CHURCH MEETING Come along to our first Church Meeting of this academic year on Tuesday night (22 nd September) at 7.45pm at the Riches’ house. We’ll be focusing on praying for our children and young people and for the Youth Project. PETE JORYSZ’S ORDINATION Please pray for Pete & Steph as Pete is ordained on Saturday at Stocksfield Baptist Church, Northumberland and as they settle into their new home. Contact the church office if you’d like their new address. THE MARRIAGE COURSE Chapel A will be running The Marriage Course on Monday nights from October 5th at Costa Coffee in Headingley. Pick up an invitation today and invite friends – it’s a great course for non-Christians too. THIS COMING WEEK Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, 6.30 - 8pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall. Please contact Hannah Dey on 0113 307 0251 or 07930 330389 about any of our usual groups for young people. Set up in September – Mark & Rachel Riches’ housegroup Set up in October – Jo Hooson & Lis Farquhar’s housegroup Please note that we are not allowed to use the equipment in the lower playground and that any children playing there must be supervised by an adult. SUNDAY 20 th SEPTEMBER 2015 Today Stuart will be leading our worship and after the break, Miguel will be speaking to us on “I Know why I am a Christian”. Welcome to Chapel A MESSY CHURCH This afternoon is Messy Church at the Methodist Centre from 3.30pm till 5.30pm. Come along and bring your friends or pray for a good session with new folk. WEEKEND AWAY 2016 Last week we launched our Weekend Away 2016. You are invited to come and join us as we have fun and meet God together over the weekend of 1 st – 3 rd July at Scargill House in the Yorkshire Dales. There will be worship, teaching and a choice of indoor and outdoor activities – and we hope time to develop your relationship with God and each other. Information has been emailed out already, so book early – accommodation will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis! NEW CELL GROUP FOR THE YOUTH PROJECT If you're 13-18 and interested in thinking more about your faith alongside other people your age, come along to the new cell groups that are being set up. We're meeting every Wednesday night in term time from 16th September at 7:30-9pm at Chapel Allerton Methodist Centre, Town Street. We will be deciding what we want the group to be like for the first couple of sessions, so come along, have your say and help to create a space that works for you. STORYTELLING TRAINING SESSION There will be a Storytelling training session at Stainbeck Church on Monday 21st September from 8-9:30pm. It will be led by Ann Coates who has done a couple of our Messy Church stories and has a real gift - a great learning opportunity if it's something you're interested in. It will be in the community cafe area - go to the back entrance and ring the bell.
