2. Welcome to St. Peter! In the Church Year, September 21st is a minor festival commemorating the life and ministry of St Matthew, the Apostle of our Lord. As we marvel at the grace that God showed Matthew in calling him to faith, discipleship and service, so may we be amazed at the undeserved love God has shown each one of us in our own personal callings. As we will sing, “Not unto us, O Lord, but to your name be praise”.

6. Prayer before Worship Dear Lord, I shudder to think where I would be were it not for your grace to me as a sinner. Please accept my worship and praise. Hear my prayers and answer them according to your timetable and in ways that are best for my eternal future with you. Speak to me through your Word. Assure me of forgiveness, and direct me in your will for my life. Amen.
