8 What a vision it must have been !!!
Rare photo of Sri Sacchidananda Bharati III, 30th Jagadguru of Sringeri Sharada Peetham ... When diwan Purnayya of mysore had called a debate between the mysore pandits and Sacchidananda bharati mahaswamigal, there was a condition that a curtain had to be put between the two. Accepting this, the debate started. Much to the surprise of Poornayya, he was able to hear a lady voice from the place where jagadguru was debating. When Poornayya lifted the curtain a little bit, he was shocked to see Goddess Sharadamba discoursing and slowly transforming to Mahaswamigal !!!! ... What a vision it must have been !!! There is nothing which is unattainable. A thing may be unattainable to us at a particular stage at which we are, or with the qualification that we possess. However if we try hard enough, there is nothing we cannot attain. Ultimately we must succeed. - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Jagadguru Sri Bharati tirtha mahaswamigal being appointed as the 36th successor of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham. PROPER WAY TO REFORM Our country suffers at present not for want of religious institutions but for want of people who are prepared to conform to its rules. Waste not your time in trying to create more spiritual institutions. Instead of trying to change the world, change yourself. If each individual reforms himself, society will automatically get reformed. - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

13 - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal
TRUE SEEKERS ARE RARE In today's materialistic world, most people have no regard for any religion or God; the few that profess such regard have only a formal sense of allegiance to their religion, which will disappear in no time, if it conflicts with their personal, selfish interests. Very, very few people are true seekers of God. - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Sri Sri Abhinava Vidyateertha Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

15 PANCHADESI I bow to the lotus feet of my Guru sri Shankarananda to remove my Ignorance (agyana) . Sri Acharyal start like this . Why Guru vandanam is very much important is the main question? About the Guru importance. One who wants to surrender or bow himself to the lotus feet of Guru he should first realize that he is having Ignorance..which is a big trouble for him. To rectify or to remove that I am surrendering my self to his feet. This is the very first stage. The Guru whom we surrender should also have the capacity to remove our IGNORANCE . Cause due to our AGYANA we are thing that this sareera i.e. this body itself is Athma and we can attain mukthi through this. It is a foolish one. It is like holding a crocodile in the flood thinking that it is a trunk so that we can cross the river in a safest way. If some one think that there are lot of books or CD's or many latest media to learn more about the Bhramavasthu so no need for going to Guru..then it is equal to holding of the crocodile instead of the trunk.. same we have to go to the proper Guru who is having the capacity & quality of removing the Ignorance..So for the Qualities & Qualification of Guru is also said in our Sastra's ..we have to surrender to such Guru only otherwise the purpose will not be fulfilled & it will lead to a Dangerous one. 16 Geetha sugeeta karthavya kimanyai: sastravistharai: !
Bagavath Gita is the scared book. Gita is swayam told by Lord Krishna himself to Arjuna in the battlefield. Geetha sugeeta karthavya kimanyai: sastravistharai: ! yaa iswayam pathmanapasya mukapaithmaraithvinissrutha!! This will show the greatness of Gita. One should read Gita daily. What is the use of reading other books..? In Gita Sri Krsna gives us lot of upadesa..following atleast any one from his saying will show us a good path. Sri Adi Shankar says " keyam geetanamasahasram" which means Read Gita daily, Chat the Sharasanama daily. Many don't know the meaning of the slokas from Gita but if we even chant Gita without knowing the meaning daily means it will automatically make us to know the meaning which will give us happiness & calm to our mind. Automatically will lead us to Moksha Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

17 The negative attitude must go and must be replaced by earnest endeavor first to secure the necessary competence. If we make an honest attempt to secure that competence by following implicitly the direction of the Shastras and the Guru, the Lord will guide us along the path of progress, solve all our problems and doubts, free us from all worry and trouble and lead us on to the state of realization of the Advaita Reality, the Truth and the bliss of the absolute oneness of all in the undifferentiated Brahman. - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

18 Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal
The mind becomes completely still (i.e. free from all thoughts) only during deep sleep. But we cannot sleep always. We seek such mental peace even while awake; and this is the aim of spirituality , to still the mind completely so that we experience everlasting peace, day and night, in all circumstances. Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

19 The tendency to neglect the doctrine that Vedantic study is intended only for the competent is responsible for the confused thinking of modern days. Even for simple crafts such as masonry or carpentry, a preliminary course of training is required before a person is allowed to handle the instruments. But in the field of Brahma-Vidya, the science of Value of the Self, the highest and the most difficult of all sciences, everyone thinks himself competent and entitled to study the system of Advaita and even to sit in judgement over it. This attitude must go and must be replaced by earnest endeavour to secure first the necessary competence. - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

20 Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal
It is the duty of parents to safeguard the spiritual interests of their child. As the parents have to feed a child which cannot feed itself, so have they to look after its spiritual interests also till it is able to take care of them. - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

21 When Sastra is placed in the place where it should be everything will be in a smooth way.
Eswara through Veda gave us the things that we should follow in our life. As Sastra is consider as the pramanam we should not violate it cause it is given by Lord himself. Sri Chandrasekara Bharathi Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

22 PANCHADESI While we are in the full conscious stage we are able to taste all the indreeya functions in different form but realizing in one way only. For example through ears we are hearing sounds through eyes we see, like this all the indreeeyas are doing its duty but for this it is not that the sounds are heard by some one. Things are seen by some other person etc, all these are realized by one single person only. If in a dark room when we put a light we see all the things in that room at a time from the light not for each object each light. Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara bharati Mahaswamigal N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

23 Happiness is identical with the feeling of rest or peace.
Only he who knows mental peace experiences true happiness. And to still the mind (i.e., remove all thoughts) is the aim of all spiritual practices. Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara bharati Mahaswamigal N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

24 Why should we wrangle over it now?
Why should people quarrel about the nature of the Absolute Being? If we are content to believe that Being has a form, we are at present far away even from His feet and the path to attain those feet is yet to be trodden by us all. When we are at the end of that path and if, by the grace of that Being, we are enabled to have a vision of His glorious face, it will be time enough then to look Him in the face and ascertain whether He is wearing on His forehead holy ashes or the trident mark or anything at all and whether He can be called Shiva, Narayana, or by any other name. Why should we wrangle over it now? - Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

Cold Water is beneficial to a thirsty man but is positively harmful to one who has fever. Similarly , what is good for one may not be good for another. So each person must follow that path for which he is best suited. Exert yourself as much as you can, adopt the right course in every effort of yours. Your will must succeed in the end. There is nothing which is unattainable. A thing may be unattainable to us at the particular stage at which we are , or with the qualification that we possess. 28 Sri Chandrasekara Bharathi Maha Swamigal
Sometimes due to some situations we are not able to get the needed things. But when we are keep on trying through our hard work we will achieve what we need At last victory is our's only. Sri Chandrasekara Bharathi Maha Swamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

29 Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal.
Sri Krishna describes desire, anger and greed as the triple gates of hell. These are man’s worst enemies and one must never succumb to them. Desire can be overcome by dispassion. Anger is a result of frustration of desire. Thus by conquering desires completely one can conquer anger. An attempt must be made to control greed by impressing upon the mind that in reality everything belongs to Ishvara alone and that one is but an instrument in the hands of Ishvara. – Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal. 30 There is no reason whatsoever to despair about one’s spiritual progress. If one tries strong enough, one will certainly make much progress. After all, Prarabdha has been compared by Brahma to seed. Not only the seed determines what one gets out of the field but also by the effort that one makes to till the land. By proper manuring and the like the situation can be very much improved. It is meaningless if a man just sits quiet and expects fate to lead him on in the spiritual path. – Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal - Sri Abinava Vidyatirtha MahaSwamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

31 The light of a lamp falls on its surroundings
The light of a lamp falls on its surroundings. One may study Sastras in that light. While another may, paying no attention to it, spend time sleeping. Similarly great souls are always showering their grace. Each one can derive benefit depending on one’s mentality. If one takes a big vessel to a pond, one can bring a large quantity of water, just because it is said that a small vessel can hold little water, it does not mean that the vessel itself is the limit for the capacity of the pond. – Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal - Sri Abinava Vidyatirtha MahaSwamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

32 An ideal disciple will indeed act as per the Guru’s instructions and not give place to thoughts as “Is it possible for me to do as he says? Shall I try something else?” If we follow our Guru’s instructions, it does not mean that we are unintelligent. It only implies that we have surrendered for our own good to a power superior to us. – Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal - Sri Abinava Vidyatirtha MahaSwamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

33 Getting this Manusha Jenma is the rarest one
Getting this Manusha Jenma is the rarest one. Due to lot of puniya in our previous jenma we got this. So utilize this in such a way to cross the samsarabanda. Don't waste this precious thing by doing unwanted things. Do as per dharma sastra, Chant Bagavan nama, Do charity, Follow the foot prints of Guru & put strong foundation for your true liberation - Sri Abinava Vidyatirtha MahaSwamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

34 Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal
The greatest impediment to Bhakti is the ego, which repeatedly asserts itself and prevents self-surrender. Thus a man can truly surrender himself to Ishvara only if he annihilates his ego. Repeatedly thinking of Ishvara and practicing spiritual discipline precisely in the manner indicated by the Guru go a long way in effacing the ego and engendering devotion. – Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatirtha Mahaswamigal Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India

36 But you must have true faith in him.
Surrender yourself entirely to a guru. He will take you by the hand and lead you to the goal. He is not blinded by the enveloping darkness of ignorance and is sure to guide you properly. But you must have true faith in him. – Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekhara Bharati Mahaswamigal Posted by N Jambunathan Iyer, Chennai Tamil Nadu India
