8. 8 FINDINGS At SLPS, THVP student grades in math improved significantly more than the grades of non-THVP students. St. Louis Public Schools SLPS parents/guardians who had home visits reported more contact with the schools and more frequent attendance at school events after their visits

9. 9 They also felt there had been positive changes at home including establishment of rules about homework and limits on television viewing. St. Louis Public Schools Around three-fourths (74%) of parents at SLPS felt very connected to their childs school after their home visit compared to 48% before the home visit.

10. I learned that one visit with a parent at her home is worth more than one million phone calls to that same parent.
