4. Office of Staff Development Title V, Part A – Innovative Programs Provides funds for education improvement programs, instructional and media materials, library materials, professional development, and other activities.

Office of Staff Development Title V, Part A – Innovative Programs Innovative Programs support education reform and innovative school improvement programs to improve school, student and teacher performance. Private school students, teachers and other education personnel may receive professional development, library materials, educational equipment.

6. Office of Staff Development Title V, Part A – Innovative Programs Schools have the flexibility to design and implement innovative projects and activities within one or more of 27 areas to serve locally identified needs.

7. Office of Staff Development Title V, Part A – Innovative Programs Projects and activities must be: Tied to promoting challenging academic achievement standards; Used to improve student academic achievement; and Part of an overall education reform strategy [section 5131].
