5 Project Hub(s) Two hubs identified for the Project: Kandy: Peradeniya Teaching Hospital Colombo: Post Graduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM)

6 Demonstration Phase Preliminary needs assessment Early implementation sites identified Testing of eLearning Modules in different delivery modes eHealth system installed in seven sites

9 Selected Accomplishments Initial needs assessment completed Priority topics for eLearning identified Project teams and D-groups established eLearning platforms developed and tested System installation completed in 07 sites Controlled trial of three topics using different delivery modes

10 Moving Forward: Development Phase Strengthening of infrastructure and dedicated systems installation Assessment of ICT-based health sector projects and IT infrastructure needs Detailed CPD analyses from SLMA member- and other surveys Plan for maintenance, management and sustainability of content and infrastructure

11 Scalability To be phased in gradually to all government healthcare facilities Develop to include VC, eDiagnostics and other multimedia applications

12 Bridging the Gap Gives healthcare workers and patients access to educational and clinical services Helps overcome infrastructure constraints in the last mile by using WS technology All information to be made available in local languages: Sinhalese and Tamil
