12 Steps for Sketching the Plan 1. Sketch the floor plan – exterior/interior walls, doors, windows. 2. Sketch the symbols for plumbing fixtures to be connected to plumbing system. 3. 13 Steps for Sketching the Plan 4. Connect plumbing fixtures and floor drains to the house drain. Show fittings and secondary vents. 5. Sketch building main for water supply system. 14 Steps for Sketching the Plan 7. Sketch cold water and hot water branch lines, include shutoff valves. 8. Show pipe sizes. 9. Include Plumbing Fixture Schedule and include symbol legend. 10.
