5 The Mission of Chesapeake Schools is to inspire all students to become passionate life-long learners, innovative problem solvers, effective communicators and responsible citizens who are empowered to pursue their purpose. DISTRICT GOALS/OBJECTIVES SUMMARY: 1. Offer focused PD in preparation for revised standards and new testing. Begin transition to new standards. 2. Adopt a new math series for the 2012- 2013 school year. 3. All students attain proficiency or better on OAA and OGT testing, meet AYP, and Value-Added. 4. Begin Walk-Throughs GOALS 2011-2012
