Submitting your work online This is a two stage process 1.First you need to add your submission to Moodle, this is usually done by uploading one or more files. At this point your files are in a Draft (no submission) state and will not be marked. 2.Then you need to complete the process by clicking on the Submit assignment button. This sends the work for marking and also sends compatible files to Turnitin for checking for Plagiarism. Remember – if you don’t click the Submit assignment button YOUR WORK WILL NOT BE MARKED Click the screen to view a simulation of the assignment submission process

Submitting your work online – Step 1 Click on the assignment link A list of all the assignments can viewed if you click the link in the Activities block

Click on the Add assignment button Your tutors decide whether or not you can see the Turnitin report Submitting your work online – Step 2

The first time you use Turnitin you will be asked to accept there End User Licence Agreement You will not see this again after you have accepted the licence Submitting your work online – Step 3

Click on this button to accept the Turnitin licence agreement You will not see this again after you have accepted the licence Submitting your work online – Step 4

Click on this icon to start uploading your work Alternatively you and drag and drop your file(s) to this area Note the max file size and the number of files that you should submit Submitting your work online – Step 5

First click on the Upload a file link Then click on the choose file button Submitting your work online – Step 6

First click on the file you wish to submit Then click on Open button Submitting your work online – Step 7

Click on the Upload file button start the upload This is the file that will be uploaded Submitting your work online – Step 8

Click on the Save changes button to complete the file submission Right button click to delete Submitting your work online – Step 9

You can edit your work prior to submitting for marking Submitting your work online – Step 10 You MUST click on the Submit assignment button to start your submission

First put a tick in the box to confirm assignment is your own work Submitting your work online – Step 11 You MUST click on the Continue button to complete your submission

After a few minutes you get a confirmation that the work has been uploaded to Turnitin with an ID number You will get an email of this confirmation and ID number Submitting your work online – Step 12

Click on this blue pen icon to view the Turnitin GradeMark report This is your mark Click the similarity score in this rectangle to see the Turnitin originality report Submitting your work online – Step 13 Your tutors determine whether or not you can see the Turnitin reports

END Close the Window or Tab to exit Click the screen to repeat
