Pyruvate is broken down into Acetyl CoA carbon dioxide released NADH produced coenzyme A (CoA) bonds to two-carbon molecule to an molecule in the Krebs cycle The Krebs cycle begins

After acetyl coA joins with the krebs cycle the cycle begins Citric acids is formed next Electrons from citric acid are stripped and stored on NADH and CO2 is released More electrons are stripped off and stored on NADH ADP is converted to ATP and more CO2 is released Once again, electrons are stripped off but this time they are stored on both NADH and FADH

Summary: Each pyruvate produces 3 CO2 (one when it’s converted to acetyl coA before krebs) 4 NADH (one when it’s converted to acetyl coA before krebs) 1 FADH 1 ATP *******remember glucose produces 2 pyruvate, so all of the above totals are multiplied by 2********
