4. Take a couple of nights off from partying.
Watch a movie or go to Chill Out Night at the Hub.
Do a mid-week grocery shop to stock up on the essentials like bread, milk, orange juice and cereal. Your body will thank you for it.
Ask the Red Frogs crew to cook pancakes for you or help you to clean your apartment.

5. NO ID = NO ACCESS
You MUST have a valid Year 12 photo ID to get an official Schoolies wristband.
Building passes are NOT acceptable ID and won’t get you a Schoolies wristband.
No Schoolies wristband = no access to the beach parties at the Schoolies Hub.

7. Check in with your parents. Let them know you’re OK.
Look after yourself – eat well and stay hydrated.
Take some time out and relax. After 12 years of school, you’ve earned it!
If you’re feeling sad or overwhelmed, talk to a friend.

8. Keep an eye on your friends – if someone is sad or withdrawn, ask them if they are OK.
Listen to what they have to say.
Seek help together.

11. WARNING: If you send, share or forward an inappropriate selfie or video of someone under 18, even if they are your boyfriend or girlfriend, you could be charged and registered as a sex offender.

12. The national media is always at Schoolies
The national media is always at Schoolies. You might not even know you’re being photographed or filmed until you see it on the news. Schoolies have even been charged after their stupid behaviour was caught on camera.

14. A criminal record could impact:
Huge fines apply if YOU or your parents supply alcohol to a person under 18.
Under Queensland law you’re considered an adult at 17, except when it comes to drinking alcohol. You have to be 18 to do that!
Drugs are illegal (not to mention dangerous) and if you’re caught you will be charged as an adult.
A criminal record could impact:
future travel and job plans
relationships with friends and family.

16. You have the right to say “NO”.
If you decide to drink, alternate with water and eat a meal.
Drink spiking can happen anywhere.
Don’t leave drinks unattended.
Drinks can be spiked by either drugs and alcohol.
If someone needs help — call triple zero (000) immediately.

17. You have to be 100% free to agree
You have to be 100% free to agree. If someone is drunk, unconscious or asleep they can’t give consent.
Someone cannot give consent if they are tricked or made to feel guilty about sexual activity.
Agreeing to one sexual act DOES NOT mean they agree to something else.
People can also change their mind. If someone agrees to do something and then says no, they mean it.
NO means NO. It’s wrong to pressure someone, even if they’re your boyfriend or girlfriend.
Consent has to be clear. Ask “are you OK with this?” and make sure you’re both happy with what’s going on.
If you decide to have consensual sex, make sure it’s safe.

18. Ask a volunteer for a ‘walk home’ or walk with a sober friend.
L and P platers must have zero blood and breath concentration when driving. A big night could mean that you are over the limit the next day.
Don't drink and drive or get in the car with a drunk driver – you could lose your licence or your life. 

19. Talk about money, food and house rules and collect everyone’s contribution before you go to Schoolies.
Read the accommodation house rules. Don’t risk getting thrown out and ruining your week.
Know how to get out of your accommodation if there is an emergency.

20. Balcony-hopping could result in eviction, arrest or death
Balcony-hopping could result in eviction, arrest or death. Don’t risk it.
Avoid overcrowding – take it inside.
Don’t sit on, lean over climb or hang off the side of balconies. One wrong move could prove fatal.
Never throw anything from a balcony. People could be walking underneath.
