4. SANCTIFICATION verse This is the will of God, your SANCTIFICATION, that you abstain from sexual impurity … (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

5. SANCTIFICATION meaning SANCT means hold. Holy means “set apart from evil, for God’s use.” Althoiugh yiou are not very holy, God keeps changing you wo you act more and more like His child. That “changing” is sanctification.

6. God loves you … Just the way you are (JUSTIFICATION). But … God loves you so much that He doesn’t LEAVE you the way you are …. He changes you (SANCTIFICATION) This power point is about SANCTIFICATION.

7. The process of Sanctification As soon as we become aware of sin, we ask for forgiveness, and ask God to keep changing us, to strengthen our new life. We do NOT make excuses We do NOT put it off We do NOT despair

8. The results of Sanctification God has decided to conform you to the image of His son (Romans 8:29) If you become more and more Christ-like ---- What would that look like?

9. The results of Sanctification Jesus said, “If a man remains in me, and I in him, he will bring forth much fruit.” (John 15:5) Fruit means results --- that includes others becoming Christian, and also a change in your life (next slide):

10. More results of sanctification “The fruit of the Spirit is Love Joy Peace Patience Kindness Goodness Faithfulness Gentleness Self-control It is not that we struggle to produce these for God. Rather, God produces them in us.
