2 Grade K Pacing Guide: Earth in Space and Time Practice of Science Benchmarks SC.K.E.5.2:Recognize the repeating pattern of day and night. 3  How are the patterns of the Day and Night skies alike? The following can be seen in the Day and Night skies: Clouds Moon’s Five Phases* Rain Snow *The moon looks different from night to night just as many objects in the sky seem to change shape in a repeated pattern. The moon’s 5 phases change, repeating a pattern every 30 days. Office of Academics – Department of Science
