2 After this lesson students can: Identify cold fronts and warm fronts Give their own weather report Compare, contrast and identify the four seasons Identify and explain the changes in the moon, stars, sun and clouds

3 Illustrate your favorite season, and holidays or special events that happen within those seasons! Bind the journal together with a few pieces of paper inside. During the week, everyday record the temperature by looking at the temperature gauge outside of the classroom. Also recording whether or not its windy, calm, raining, snowing, sunny, or clear. At the end of the week the journals will be hung on display!

4 Second Activity! Gather the Following Materials to create your own windmill! 1. A square piece of paper 2. A push pin 3.A popsicle stick

5 In-Class Writing! Describe your favorite season Give an example of when you recognized a change in cold fronts and warm fronts, what difference does it make in the clothes you wear? Describe what holidays are in your favorite season, if there aren’t any then think of some fun activities that are popular to do in that season.

6 TEKS Earth and space. The student knows that the natural world includes the air around us and objects in the sky. The student is expected to: (A) record weather information, including relative temperature, such as hot or cold, clear or cloudy, calm or windy, and rainy or icy; (B) observe and record changes in the appearance of objects in the sky such as clouds, the Moon, and stars, including the Sun; (C) identify characteristics of the seasons of the year and day and night; and (D) demonstrate that air is all around us and observe that wind is moving air.
