4 Tribe traditions.  The southern Paiutes have no word for hello or goodbye.  They had a 5 th annual Paiute spirit run on 9/26/13.  They had holidays like the 21st annual Paiute veterans powwow.  The northern Paiute did the ghost dance. And other cool dances.

5 What did they eat? The Paiutes ate animals such as cow, chicken, rooster and other kids of animals. They collected seeds for crops and vegetables. Like carrots and other things such as squash and onions. They ate berries that grow out of bushes. They also ate fish and deer. Like trout.

6 Where Did they live? The Paiutes lived in the south western Utah. They also lived by the Colorado river in Arizona and South California. They also lived near Las Vegas. They used rocks and dry mud for houses.

7 How did they dress? The Paiute Indians dressed in leather string and feathers for hats and decoration. They had leather for shoes and other kinds of animal skins. They wore ropes for keeping warm in the winter or when it was raining. They also had jewels like necklaces and bracelets made out of rock and string or wheat sticks.

8 Famous people. Winnemucca was the Paiute leader. They had a band called the Shewit band Numaga

9 Contributions I.They make stuff with their kids. II.They taught other people how to make baskets. III.They taught Pioneers how to do things they never thought of. IV.They taught the pioneers how to fish, hunt and cook it.

10 How big is the tribe The population is about 900 people right now. In 1873 there were less that that! Lets say about 500 people. Every year they keep growing and growing.

11 Extra information. They had leather toys for kids. They also had weapons like spears, bows and arrows. They were decorative people. They had mud and stones for houses. They painted there houses with colorful flower dust and stuff like that. They also live in the Bryce canyon.
