The amount of oil and coal being used is pretty good, and the use of hydroelectric is great. But 22.2% of the energy is fueled by gas, and 28.9% is fueled by nuclear. Nuclear is good because it doesn’t harm the environment, but it puts toxic wastes into the environment. Burning gas can cause air pollution.

8. The Marcellus Shale -Orange County is in the Marcellus Shale -Fracking can cause water and soil pollution. Then, we drink the water and get horribly sick!

9. CLIMATE SMART COMMUNITIES  A Climate Smart community is a partnership that bonds a town/city and a state to meet climate change challenges.  The town of Woodbury is a climate smart community

10. ENVIROTHON!  The North American Envirothon is an environmental education program for high school students in the U.S.
