4. Sight Words Rainbow Word Rings –Start with Violet words –Flash words… 3 second rule for mastery –Set a reward goal for each mastered color set –Record the date mastered on chart (I would love a copy of this) –Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Red

Sight Words Checkers –Use slips of paper to place sight words on the shaded squares –Take turns moving diagonally on the shaded squares –Must be able to read the word in 3 seconds in order to move to that spot –Play like regular Checkers: jump/capture opponents pieces, King Me, etc. –Be creative with game pieces

6. Letters and Sounds Roll a word –Red = first letter –Yellow = second letter –Blue = third letter –Make as many words as you can –Record them on a sheet of paper as real or make believe words
