2 Institutional Background 10 th institution in State University System of Florida. Opened August 1997 with 2500 students. Emphasis on sustainability, technology, interdisciplinary learning. Focus on learning outcomes and assessment strategies. Average 13% annual enrollment growth over past ten years. Enrollment headcount of 8500 students in Fall 2006. Maximum headcount of 20,000 students on main campus by 2015.

Learning Goals: acquiring content knowledge in three of the visual arts (two-dimensional art, sculpture, architecture) and three of the performing arts (music, dance, theatre), together with analytical and critical thinking skills.
