4 Horse Industry in Oklahoma The horse industry produces a total economic impact valued at $1.2 billion and a direct economic impact of $766 million. The Oklahoma horse industry generates approximately $49 million in annual taxes. An estimated 326,000 horses in Oklahoma; 303,900 are involved in show and recreation. The industry involves 117,900 Oklahomans.

Approximately 9.2 million horses in the U.S.; 6.6 million of which are involved in show and recreation. 17 PROPOSED FAIRGROUNDS EXPANSION Multiplex Facility Detailed Phase Layout Phase I Pad work, material, dozer, fuel and operator all donated Erection of Building 70 X 225 X 12 w/Roof, Insulation, Guttering, N & S ends $80,000 The Fairgrounds has put up $50,000 towards this phase Phase II 50 Stalls built by OK Correctional Ind. $625 ea. Total $31,250 Water: Run main line to barn, stub out restrooms and concession, put in hot water tank, complete 5 wash racks, 15 X 70 concrete slab
