12 Final Points Construction employment is expected to reach pre-recession levels in 2021. Construction jobs are concentrated in certain areas of the state and have been impacted by oil development in Eastern Montana Construction jobs are shifting towards heavy equipment operators and truck drivers, not just carpenters and general laborers.
