What is and isn’t working about the seminar series? 1.Developed questionnaire 2.Got approval from the human ethics committee 3.Created survey on Qualtrics 4.Emailed the seminar list and asked them to complete it

Who responded? 40 people total

What attracted you to/ interested you about this seminar series? 1.keeping up with technology 2.that online and distance teachers felt that the series was of particular relevance to their role. 3.learning from the experiences of others. 4.that staff with roles supporting teaching staff (e.g. SLSS, ITS, CAD) wanted to learn about the needs of teaching staff. “All about teaching with technology from a local perspective” “Distance and online learning are my main form of teaching” “I am a senior academic learning advisor at SLSS. It is very interesting for us to learn about all the different technologies and how they are being used by academic teaching staff across the university “ “interested in finding innovative ways to enhance teaching; hear what colleagues are doing”

What does this seminar series offer, if anything, that you can’t get elsewhere in the University? 1.Brings a range of people together 2.Occurs at a predictable time 3.Facilitated by the group “A University wide perspective on teaching and learning. Access to enthusiastic knowledgeable people from outside my faculty talking on L&T.” “regular meeting time, organised by people in the seminar”

Briefly describe something that you would like to see improved or changed or something that you did not like 1.Problems with scheduled time 2. Sessions more inclusive of: student perceptions, disciplines, other campuses Better accessibility for those on satellite campuses At the academic sessions, some student representation would be really interesting Timing was hard as this is my heavy teaching term More non-science examples, please
