2 Who are we? P&O Nedlloyd is one of the world’s leading providers of point-to-point container shipping services. The company was formed in December 1996. P&O Nedlloyd is listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange (Euronext) under the name of Royal P&O Nedlloyd NV. The company trades under the name ‘P&O Nedlloyd’ and is headquartered in London.

3 P&O Nedlloyd key facts P&O Nedlloyd is the fourth largest container shipping company in the world. A modern operating fleet of 154 vessels with a standing capacity of 416,732 teu. Container fleet in excess of 845,000 teu. P&O Nedlloyd’s ships call at 229 ports in 94 countries with the support of more than 400 offices in 156 countries. Group turnover of USD 5.5 billion and total fixed assets of USD 1.8 billion in 2003. Over 3.7 million teu transported in 2003.

5 A modern fleet In addition to our current fleet of 154 vessels we have an extensive newbuild programme in progress including the following vessels: 8 x 8,100 teu vessels on charter, which are due to enter services in the Europe-Asia and Transpacific trades from late 2004 onwards; 2 x 4,800 teu vessels on charter, which are due to enter the Europe-South Africa service in 2005; 2 x 1,800 teu vessels for use in Brazil for the Mercosul trade from 2007 onwards.

13 Terminal Developments
We have a number of terminals that are operational: Port Newark, New Jersey (PNCT) - 50 per cent shareholding; Calgliari, Italy (CICT) - 25 per cent shareholding; Colombo, Sri Lanka (SAGT) - 10 per cent shareholding. In addition we are involved with the following projects, currently under development:. Deurganckdok, Antwerp, Belgium - first phase due to be operational mid 2005; Euromax Rotterdam, The Netherlands - due to be operational end 2007. We are also evaluating terminal investments in Los Angeles, China and South Africa.
