10 NATPOW Introduction NATPOW is a non-profit Organization established by the Government of Pakistan, working throughout Pakistan since 1994. NATPOW works with 350 CSOs/ Private Sector Partners to build effective partnerships for interventions with special emphasis on following:  Community Mobilization and Participation  Advocacy and Awareness Raising  Capacity Building  HRD  Reproductive Human Rights  RH & FP for providing better health service to the communities.

11 1. Literacy for Family Health Initiative-LFHI Partner Organization: NCHD Objectives  Building capacity and enhance the competency of Literacy Teachers  Aims to reach 2.5 Million direct beneficiaries in 03 years,  Targeting 25-30 students per centre and 90% women Highlighted Projects

Scaling-up best practices in Pakistan to integrate Family Planning into Maternal, Neonatal and Child Healthcare services (HTSP) Objectives  To reduce maternal, newborn and infant/child mortality and morbidity, to provide a comprehensive maternal and reproductive health packages to flood affected areas.  Mobilize communities to promote maternal health through LHWs  LHW and Community mobilzers will increase demand for Family Planning Highlighted Projects

Family Health Center Objectives  To provide better health services to the marginalized communities  To provide RH&FP conselling and services, to promote healthy timing & spacing of Pregnancy  Social Mobilization for long-term positive behavior change of communities towards health issues Highlighted Projects

KAP Baseline Household Survey Objectives  To reach out 2.1 million people 1,050,000 children under 18,462,000 women and 588,000 men  Selected 31 most flood affected districts to protect them from water, sanitation and hygiene related diseases  Will improve hygiene behaviors through mass awareness campaigns that will benefit the whole population of the districts Highlighted Projects

Post Flood Health Care Relief Project 2010 Objectives  Provision of Mother & Child Healthcare services, including RH&FP  50 Mobile Service Units were mobilized to provide Healthcare services to poor and needy people  Each MSU visited 3 villages per day to cater for healthcare needs of about 5000-6000 people per day Highlighted Projects

27 Help in sustaining NATPOW’s established 60-Family Health Centers (FHC) in Most deserving-Underserved areas of Pakistan to provide Safe Mother & Child Healthcare services, like:  Supply of Medicines  Events which can raise funds for these centers  Monthly cash for bearing expense of one center  Help for raising awareness to these communities  Donate for organizing Health management committees  Donate for saving more lives Way Forward
