Employee Relations You should contact us if you need assistance: enhancing the workforce through professional development developing interpersonal and managerial skills of staff members responding constructively to conflict within the department addressing performance management issues educating managers and employees about policies and procedures of the university

7 Employee Relations Myth
Myth: Employee Relations always looks out for the interests of the management. Fact: We are neither management sympathizers nor employee advocates. Our responsibility is to ensure that we hear both sides of an issue, determine the facts, and make recommendations for action that are in the best interests of the manager, employee, and university.

Myth: Employee Relations does not maintain the confidentiality of university employees. Fact: Confidentiality is not guaranteed in all situations. Employee issues are kept confidential to the extent appropriate and possible. Some information may be shared on a “need-to-know” basis.
