5 © University of Reading 2006 www.reading.ac.uk October 2009 Fire – what you need to know Know how to raise the alarm Know what the fire alarm sounds like Identify your nearest evacuation route If necessary, to evacuate what hazards have you left in place i.e. LPG Identify your assembly point and to whom you should report Do not go back into the building until the ‘All Clear’ is given
