1 How does it work? (paper-based)

2 Careerforce creates a new paper-based assessment in The Tool every three months. This is downloaded from The Tool as a PDF document. The PDF is emailed to a designated literacy coordinator in each company. The literacy coordinator forwards this email to the trainers / assessors within the company. How does it work? (paper-based)

3 How does it work? (paper-based) The assessment is ‘non-adaptive’ – it doesn’t adapt the questions to the learner’s responses like the online version It has a range of questions from Step 2 – Step 5 on The Progressions Careerforce only uses the ‘snapshot’ assessment (around 15 – 17 questions). A full diagnostic assessment has about 30 questions. It takes about 20 – 30 minutes from start to finish. You can go back over questions and, unfortunately you can skip questions. Unanswered questions or incompletely answered questions don’t score.

4 How it works – making a book When printing out the PDF: Layout – Print Type - 2-sided Finish – Staple - 2 position left so that it opens up like a book so…. the learner sees the text on the left side and the related questions on the right side.
